Nicola started Your People Expert because she kept seeing the same thing: good business owners who genuinely cared about their people, but had no one in their corner to help them navigate the harder parts of people leadership.
She built Your People Expert to change that, giving growing businesses access to experienced, thoughtful HR guidance without the cost or complexity of an in-house HR function. The business is built on the belief that you shouldn’t have to figure it all out alone.
Nicola leads the direction of the business and works directly with clients as a senior advisor, bringing hands-on experience across industries and a deep commitment to getting the people side of business right.
Giving Back
We care about the broader business community, not just our own clients. That means actively contributing to the HR profession in Western Australia and supporting the small business community through practical education and connection.
Through our Small Business: People Foundations initiative, we offer workshops, practical resources, and community engagement to help small business owners build confidence in managing their people, whether or not they’re a client.
We’re active members of AHRI (the Australian HR Institute) and support local business networks through events, partnerships.
